Chapter 1517: Striking At The Heart Of The Enemy

2 views 13.03.2025

Yi Feng coldly watched the group of accomplices who had aided the tyrant, his tone icy as he said, "Get up and take us to the dungeon!"

The remnants of the Sacred Land, who had barely survived, were like lambs being herded by the four brothers.

They led Yi Feng and his companions through corridors and courtyards until they arrived at the dungeon.

These survivors had been utterly terrified by the ruthless methods of the four brothers.

They dared not resist, only hoping that the four killers would spare their lives.

The scene inside the dungeon left the four brothers in shock.

The environment was abysmal—damp, cold, infested with rats and insects, and filth everywhere.

The air was filled with a pungent stench, impossible to tell whether it was from excrement or the rotting corpses of young girls.

The foul odor was not only suffocating but also stung their eyes.

Though called a dungeon, its vast scale was more akin to an underground palace.

The rows of cells stretched for miles, each holding at least five twelve-year-old girls.

The number of cells in the dungeon numbered in the thousands.

The imprisoned girls were disheveled and dressed in rags.

They were treated like livestock, confined and barely clinging to life.

The girls who had been recently captured were terrified at the sight of the newcomers, fearing they would be subjected to extreme punishment.

Those who had been imprisoned longer appeared calm, though it was more a state of despair.

Their eyes were dull, only wishing for an end to this nightmare.

To prevent the girls from committing suicide, the Sacred Land's people had bound their hands.

The girls could only eat by crouching over troughs, like animals.

The four brothers were enraged.

Twelve years old was supposed to be the golden age, on the cusp of the most beautiful years of youth.

Yet these girls were living a nightmare, worse off than the pigs and dogs raised in ordinary households.

The black-clad man, who had a soft spot for women, was about to rush forward and open the cages to free the girls, but Yi Feng stopped him.

Yi Feng shook his head and said, "Don't rush. Letting them go now would only harm them. We'll free them after we deal with the masterminds behind the Sacred Land."

Yi Feng was worried that too many people would cause chaos, so it was best to keep things as they were for now.

The black-clad man, blinded by anger, calmed down after hearing Yi Feng's words.

Yi Feng glared at the Sacred Land members kneeling on the ground and barked, "Send a message to the Desolate Hall. Tell them the four of us are here and to send their people over!"

A Sacred Land elder, trembling with fear, complied, though a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

These people not only didn't flee but also wanted to face the Desolate Hall head-on, waiting here as if they were invincible.

How naive!

The elder knew exactly how powerful the Desolate Hall was.

Otherwise, how could their once-proud Sacred Land have been reduced to mere pawns, doing all the dirty work for the Desolate Hall?

This was for the best. Once the Desolate Hall arrived, these fools would have nowhere to run, and he might even survive.

Thinking this, the elder respectfully agreed and took out a communication jade token to contact the Desolate Hall.

Meanwhile, at the Desolate Hall.

Deep within the massive, desolate hall, a shadowy figure sat on a throne, his true form obscured.

Before him stood eight elders, including Third Elder Wu Tian.

The shadowy figure held a communication jade token, his crimson eyes glowing with a bloody light.

He had received the message from the Sacred Land elder.

But he remained calm, as if everything was under his control.

"Second Elder, Fifth Elder, Eighth Elder, take some disciples to the Sacred Land and bring back the heads of those four brothers."

A strange, murky voice echoed in the minds of the eight elders.

The Second, Fifth, and Eighth Elders stepped forward, bowing to the shadowy figure and replying in unison, "As you command!"

The shadowy figure gave an almost imperceptible smirk, as if mocking the four brothers for their foolishness.

In his eyes, the lives of over ten thousand girls and the heads of the four brothers were already his.

The Second, Fifth, and Eighth Elders were all dressed in identical black robes.

The Fifth and Eighth Elders wore hoods, their faces hidden.

The Second Elder, however, did not wear a hood, revealing his sunken, crescent-shaped face.

His nose was short, his eyes narrow, his lips thick, and he sported a pair of thin mustaches. His appearance was indescribably ugly.

Yet he was the most imposing of the three.

His weapon was also the most unique.

While the other two wielded a long sword and a saber, he carried a three-pronged spear.

The three elders gathered over a hundred disciples, and the group flew toward the Sacred Land with overwhelming momentum, their killing intent palpable.

Back at the Sacred Land's dungeon.

After confirming that the Sacred Land elder had notified the Desolate Hall, the four brothers immediately executed the scum on the spot.

The black-clad man shouted, "Don't be afraid, girls! I'm here to set you free!"

With that, the brothers quickly opened the cell doors, untied the girls, and instructed them on which direction to flee.

Earlier, the four brothers had forced the Sacred Land members to reveal a secret passage within the dungeon.

It was originally prepared by the Sacred Land as an escape route, but now it became the path to freedom for the girls.

At first, the imprisoned girls thought the four brothers were also villains.

But when they saw the brothers kill the Sacred Land elders and set them free, the girls erupted in cheers.

Even the girls who had been imprisoned for a long time, their eyes dull with despair, felt a spark of hope ignite in their hearts.

Hearing the black-clad man's voice and the cheers, their lifeless hearts suddenly burned with a fierce flame, and their eyes regained their spark.

Only when they saw their companions being freed did they finally break down in tears of joy.

At last, they saw a glimmer of hope, a chance to escape this dark, hellish dungeon.

The freed girls began helping others who were still imprisoned.

With so many hands, the ten thousand girls were soon all liberated, streaming toward the secret passage, filled with both joy and fear.

Once everything was arranged, the four brothers wasted no time. They left the dungeon and took to the skies above the Sacred Land's main hall, waiting patiently.

Their eyes burned with intensity as they gazed into the distance, their hearts filled with overwhelming killing intent.

They were determined to slaughter every last one of these beasts, to vent their hatred and avenge the great wrongs done to Wenjiu City!

Soon, a dark swarm of over a hundred figures flew toward them like a flock of birds, their killing intent palpable.

"Perfect timing! I wasn't done killing yet!" the black-clad man said solemnly.

"Boss, watch me devour them!" the toad said, grinning widely.

"Don't rush. I'll crush them and show them what it means to be crushed by a mountain," the snail said slowly.

Yi Feng glanced at them and smiled. "Don't kill them all. Leave one or two to report back. We'll follow them to the Desolate Hall and strike at the heart of the enemy!"
