Chapter 1518: The Boss Is Indeed Clever!
"The boss is indeed clever!" the toad praised with a wide grin.
The Second Elder, with a crescent-shaped face, led the charge with a three-pointed double-edged spear, followed closely by the hooded Fifth Elder and Eighth Elder.
Over a hundred disciples swiftly followed behind the three elders.
The four brothers stood proudly in the air, and the Second Elder was the first to confront them.
He sneered coldly, his smile twisted and terrifying.
"Hahahaha, you four ignorant fools dare to attack the sacred land! Today, I will make you regret ever being born!" the crescent-faced Second Elder declared confidently.
The four brothers exchanged glances.
"This guy is too ugly. Who's going to deal with him?" the black-clad man asked.
The toad looked at the snail and said, "You go. Crush him with your weight and flatten his face!"
The snail frowned in disgust but replied, "Fine."
Then, the toad and the black-clad man engaged the Fifth Elder and Eighth Elder, while Yi Feng charged toward the group of lesser disciples.
"Arrogant fools! You have no idea what you're up against. Take this!" the Second Elder roared angrily.
The snail's body rapidly expanded, growing to hundreds of feet in an instant, blocking out the sky.
The Second Elder's face stiffened, and his heart trembled.
He knew the four brothers were powerful, but he never expected them to be this terrifying!
However, he quickly calmed himself.
He believed that such a size-increasing technique must have many weaknesses, such as reduced defense and speed.
The Second Elder's three-pointed double-edged spear suddenly radiated a blinding golden light, which shot toward the snail.
"Boom!"
The golden light struck the snail, creating a deep crater on its body and producing a deafening explosion.
"You think growing bigger makes you a match for me? How naive!" the Second Elder sneered.
But in the next moment, his expression froze.
The deep crater on the snail's body was quickly covered by a layer of mucus.
As the snail's flesh wriggled, the crater healed completely in just a breath's time.
The snail paid no attention to the Second Elder and instead slammed down toward him.
The Second Elder's eyes narrowed, and he immediately turned to flee.
He thought to himself, "This giant creature must be slower than me. I'll dodge this attack first!"
But the snail, now blotting out the sky, followed closely behind, its body growing larger and larger, as if it could cover a thousand miles in a single step.
The snail's speed was not only not slower than his, but it was even faster.
Without hesitation, the snail smashed down toward him.
The black-clad man chose the Fifth Elder as his target.
With a flash, the black-clad man appeared eerily behind the Fifth Elder.
He then swung his sword, sending a hundred-foot-long sword beam hurtling toward the Fifth Elder's neck.
The Fifth Elder's heart skipped a beat, and he quickly turned around, diving downward to evade the attack.
This strike had truly chilled him to the bone, and in his panic, he could only shrink his neck.
"Slash!"
The sword beam sliced through his hood, revealing the Fifth Elder's withered, pale face.
The Fifth Elder narrowly avoided the attack and immediately counterattacked.
He swung his sword in mid-air, creating a cross-shaped sword beam that shot toward the black-clad man.
The black-clad man shook his head and sneered, "Is that all? How pathetic!"
Without bothering to dodge, the black-clad man casually swung his sword.
A razor-sharp sword beam shot out, instantly breaking through the cross-shaped beam and heading straight for the rapidly descending Fifth Elder.
The Fifth Elder, unwilling to give up, hastily summoned a large cauldron to block the attack.
"Clang!"
A resounding bell-like sound echoed through the sky.
"Crack, crack, crack."
The cauldron shattered instantly, and the Fifth Elder quickly swung his sword dozens of times to fend off the shards while also launching an attack at the black-clad man.
The black-clad man curled his lip in disdain.
"Trash like you doesn't deserve to wield a sword!"
Then, the black-clad man transformed into a streak of light, charging toward the Fifth Elder.
His figure seemed to merge with the sword light, and wherever he passed, the void twisted, and sharp explosions shook the soul.
The Fifth Elder's heart trembled, and he felt a chill run through him.
It was clear that the black-clad man's swordsmanship and cultivation were far superior to his.
In the black-clad man's eyes, he was nothing more than a small fry.
The Fifth Elder bit his tongue, quickly burning his essence blood to turn and flee.
But the black-clad man gave him no chance.
"Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle!"
The black-clad man transformed into a beam of light, catching up to and piercing through the Fifth Elder's body.
The immense energy instantly turned the Fifth Elder into a mist of blood.
Yet, not a single drop of blood stained the black-clad man.
On the other side, Yi Feng's sword cut through all techniques.
With a fierce swing, Yi Feng unleashed a terrifying sword beam hundreds of feet high and thousands of feet long.
The sword beam swept across like a tidal wave, obliterating the hundred or so disciples of the Desolate Hall in an instant.
The black-clad man watched, his lips twitching as if he felt somewhat dissatisfied.
The toad exhaled clouds of mist, firing countless air cannons at the Eighth Elder.
Each air cannon was as solid as a physical object, producing deafening explosions with every strike.
Clearly, he wasn't using his full strength but was toying with the hooded man.
The Eighth Elder frantically blocked the bizarre attacks with his sword.
"Clang, clang, clang! Boom, boom, boom!"
The sounds of metal clashing and explosions filled the air.
The Eighth Elder's hands were bloodied, his sword's edge chipped, and he was coughing up blood from the relentless bombardment.
Seeing that the others had mostly finished their battles, the toad opened its massive mouth and inhaled sharply, sucking the injured Eighth Elder toward it.
The Eighth Elder's face was filled with terror, as if he were standing on the edge of an abyss.
He used all his strength to resist the powerful suction, but he found it impossible to stop.
The toad then leaped forward, kicking the Eighth Elder in the abdomen, shattering his ribs.
Then, with a grotesque motion, it opened its gaping maw and swallowed the Eighth Elder whole.
"Burp…"
After swallowing the man, the toad even let out a satisfied belch.
Meanwhile, the snail had crushed the crescent-faced Second Elder, breaking his bones and tendons.
Just as it was about to finish him off, Yi Feng called out to stop it.
"Snail, leave him alive! Let him go back and deliver a message!" Yi Feng shouted.
The snail, feeling quite displeased, reluctantly complied.
After all, the other brothers had enjoyed their kills, but he hadn't yet flattened the Second Elder's face.
However, since the boss had already laid out the plan, he had no choice but to pretend to let the man go, following him back to the Desolate Hall for a future massacre.
The Second Elder, feeling a chill run down his spine, never expected the four brothers to be this powerful.
The three elders had attacked, yet they stood no chance.
But now, hearing Yi Feng's words, the Second Elder was stunned.
They were going to let him go back to deliver a message?
Although he had to admit the four were strong, weren't they being too arrogant?
Did they really think they could take on the entire Desolate Hall?
Regardless, the fact that he didn't have to die now was a relief. He quickly swallowed several pills, gathered all his energy, and fled in panic.
The four brothers simply watched with smiles as the Second Elder's figure disappeared into the distance.
Then, they exchanged glances and vanished from the spot...
