Section 29

The young man was quite slender, with a somewhat pale complexion that could now be described as ashen. His thin lips were pressed tightly together, and he looked quite dignified, like someone from an aristocratic family. He stared stubbornly at Ye Zhong, forcing himself to remain calm, but the fear and unease in his eyes betrayed his true feelings.

Watching his opponent still struggling to get up, Ye Zhong was considering whether to strike a few more times to completely incapacitate him and set his mind at ease. After a moment's thought, Ye Zhong slowly said, "I accept your surrender, but you must exit your mech first." Without the protection of the mech, Ye Zhong was confident he could kill him with at most three strikes! Besides, Ye Zhong never intended to kill them in the first place; he was only protecting himself from harm. Moreover, survival depended on these two people, as he was completely unfamiliar with everything on this starship.

If the other party didn't comply obediently, Ye Zhong would definitely knock him down first. He wouldn't leave behind any potential threats that could cause trouble for him.

Unexpectedly, the other party replied without any hesitation, "Okay!" He didn't dare hesitate in the slightest. The person before him was ruthless, with every move aimed to kill, and the difference in their strength was too great. His side had no bargaining chips, leaving him no choice but to surrender. Number Two was also a decisive person. Since they were surrendering, it was better to be straightforward to avoid provoking the other party's anger towards the young master—a scenario he least wanted to see.

The young man was also very curious as he looked at Number Two. Number Two had been his bodyguard for many years, but she always appeared in this form. He had long grown accustomed to it and had never seen Number Two's true appearance outside the mech.

Number Two moved swiftly, retracting the mech into subspace.

The moment the young man's eyes met Number Two's, he was instantly petrified. He never expected that Number Two, who had diligently protected him for years, was actually a woman! And an extremely beautiful one at that!

Her golden hair cascaded like a waterfall over her shoulders. Her charming face, capable of conveying joy or displeasure, was complemented by mesmerizing sapphire-blue eyes as deep as the starry sky. She had a tall figure, and her tight-fitting suit accentuated her stunning curves and devilish physique. Her long, athletic legs made one unconsciously swallow hard.

Even though he had grown up in an aristocratic family and had seen countless handsome men and beautiful women, he was still captivated by Number Two, staring at her transfixed.

Ye Zhong, however, was thinking, Hmm, not bad. The mech seems to be controlled by brainwaves!

Ye Zhong said indifferently, "Throw your mech's space button over."

Number Two had been observing Ye Zhong's expression since earlier. Although she had never revealed herself to outsiders, she had absolute confidence in her looks. In her family, those who, like her, were adopted and trained from childhood to serve as close protection for important internal members were all beauties selected from tens of thousands. As the standout among them, she was exceptionally stunning. Their instructor had once told them that their looks and bodies were their final weapons—if used properly, they could absolutely turn the situation around!

However, at that moment, her confidence in her appearance vanished instantly!

This terrifying guy had completely ignored her, as if she didn't exist. Did she really have no appeal at all? Fortunately, the young master's appreciative gaze made her feel somewhat better. She had served the young master for five years and knew him well. He would never harbor any ill intentions toward her; his eyes held only pure admiration!

She hesitated for a moment but still took off an exquisitely crafted bracelet from her wrist and threw it to Ye Zhong.

Ye Zhong caught it, fiddled with it for a while, removed its miniature energy cell, and then put both items into his pocket. Watching Ye Zhong's experienced actions, Number Two felt all her hopes shatter! Even with such a vast difference in strength, this man still maintained such a cautious mindset. He was truly terrifying!

Ye Zhong gestured for her to come over.

Number Two walked up to Ye Zhong apprehensively.

Without hesitation, Ye Zhong untied the rope from his own body and bound her tightly. He then warned, "You'd better not have any foolish ideas, or else... hmph..." Ye Zhong's actions were rough, as if tying up a mutant creature, without a trace of tenderness. The pain nearly brought tears to Number Two's eyes. But the killing intent in Ye Zhong's eyes during his warning made her heart shudder violently!

Ye Zhong walked toward the young man.

Number Two couldn't help but shout, "What do you want to do? You already promised me you wouldn't harm him! Please keep your word!" Her voice was completely different from when she was in the mech—clear, melodious, and heavenly!

Without turning his head, Ye Zhong replied, "Harm him? I have no such intention! However, I think tying him up will make me feel more at ease!"

Ye Zhong approached the young man, who arrogantly raised his chin and stubbornly challenged Ye Zhong with his gaze. The color had returned to his once-ashen face, and his expression had calmed considerably.

Number Two inwardly groaned. She should have known the young master's stubborn temperament. She could only hope he wouldn't provoke the other party and suffer for it.

Ye Zhong, however, didn't mind. If he were the one being tied up, his mood wouldn't be any better than the young man's. Although the boy before him seemed frail, the cautious Ye Zhong meticulously tied him up like a zongzi (sticky rice dumpling)! On the Planet of Desolation, every mutant creature had its own unique abilities. Judging an enemy's strength by appearance was undoubtedly the stupidest approach!

Ye Zhong's actions were far from gentle. The tender-skinned young man, who had never experienced such hardship, groaned softly from the pain, making Number Two, who was watching, ache with sympathy!

Whew, finally, I can relax, Ye Zhong thought as he unceremoniously plopped down onto the ground.

Number Two carefully observed this almost non-human guy. He was not very tall, with a healthy wheat-colored complexion and a relatively ordinary appearance. However, his eyes were extremely sharp, and his black hair was styled in a disastrous manner—the automated hairdressing machine that cut it must have had a serious malfunction. His body was well-proportioned, without bulging muscles, completely disproportionate to the terrifying power he contained. It was utterly deceptive! As for his age, she couldn't be sure. He seemed young, but his shrewd demeanor and the occasional indifference toward life and death gave him a somewhat weathered feel. His clothes were made of outdated fabric and craftsmanship, almost as if he came from a government relief zone. Yet, judging from how he removed the energy cell from her mech, he was clearly very familiar with mechs. Would someone from a relief zone know about mechs?

Ye Zhong spoke: "Tell me, who are you two?"

The two captives looked at each other in astonishment. Number Two tentatively asked, "You... don't know who we are?"
