Chapter 935: The Grand Scheme Of The Master
After receiving the ladle, Qin Yi couldn't put it down. He held it in both hands, caressing it with a gaze as tender as if he were looking at his first love.
"With this master chef's ladle, I feel even more confident," he said with full determination.
"Haha, very good," Qin Lan laughed heartily, then turned his gaze to Qin Nan and Qin Zhiyu.
"This knife, I will entrust to you two, the most outstanding juniors of our family, to keep it together," Qin Lan said with a smile. "Firstly, because you are the future of the Qin family. Secondly, because you will need to seek out our ancestors. If they do not remember our Qin family, showing them this knife will prove your identity."
"Yes, Ancestor," Qin Nan and Qin Zhiyu replied, kneeling on the ground as if they had been injected with adrenaline. They never expected that they would be entrusted with such an honor.
"Alright, everyone, disperse and make the necessary arrangements," Qin Lan said with a smile.
"Yes!" everyone responded in unison before leaving.
Soon after, the entire Heaven and Earth Island underwent a massive cleanup, becoming spotless. Various ingredients were transported from all corners of the Heavenly Domain to the island. The place was decorated with lanterns and streamers, as if celebrating the New Year.
At the same time, several large ships with red flags set sail from Heaven and Earth Island to fulfill their missions.
Meanwhile, high in the clouds, a woman in green robes stood with her hands behind her back, her hair flowing in the wind as she gazed into the distance.
At that moment, a massive mechanical behemoth, entirely made of machinery, sped through the sky. On its deck stood several people. Upon seeing the woman in green, they all bowed and said, "Greetings, Senior Sister."
"Hmm," the woman in green nodded slightly, then closed her eyes to meditate. The others, understanding her intentions, did not disturb her. They stored the airship and sat cross-legged in mid-air.
Over the next few days, people arrived on dragons, while others descended on phoenixes. By then, the gathering had grown to about seventy or eighty people.
"Who else has not arrived?" the leading woman in green, Su Yunyun, asked as she opened her eyes.
"Reporting to Senior Sister, aside from Junior Brother Seventy-Five and Junior Sister Sixty-Three, those ranked below Eighty-Five have yet to arrive," Jia Jiaqin, surrounded by a group of beasts, stepped forward to report.
Su Yunyun nodded. "Hmm."
"Also, Senior Brother has been missing all along," Jia Jiaqin added.
"Senior Brother is the disciple most beloved by our master and has been with him the longest," Su Yunyun pondered. "Perhaps he is carrying out some other mission, so we can consider him an exception for now and not worry about him."
"That makes sense," Jia Jiaqin nodded, then suddenly remembered something else. "Oh, and there's Senior Brother Wu Chang'an."
"Senior Brother Wu Chang'an..." Su Yunyun murmured thoughtfully. "He is the only disciple, aside from Senior Brother, whom I cannot fully understand. He has also spent more time with our master than the rest of us. It's likely that he, like Senior Brother, is an exception."
"Alright," Jia Jiaqin nodded.
After glancing around and waiting a bit longer, Su Yunyun seemed to lose patience. "Perhaps the other junior brothers and sisters are too far away and won't be able to arrive in a day or two. Let's not wait for them."
"I've gathered everyone here today to ask you something," Su Yunyun said after a moment of contemplation. "Over the past month, every time I enter deep meditation, a scene automatically appears in my mind. It's a vision of all of us, except for Junior Brother Wu Tian, sitting together in a grand hall. Have any of you experienced the same thing?"
As soon as Su Yunyun finished speaking, a wave of murmurs spread among the disciples.
"Senior Sister, I have! I was just about to ask about this," Xiao Zhan quickly responded.
"Me too," Chi Yitong chimed in.
"Yes, yes, I've had the same experience."
"Me too."
"I've also seen the same scene in my mind."
In no time, all the disciples present, except for Wu Tian, confirmed that they had experienced the same vision.
"Indeed," Su Yunyun said with a thoughtful expression. "I have a faint feeling that the scene we've been seeing actually happened in the past, as if we, as fellow disciples, have known each other for a long time."
"Exactly."
"I feel the same way."
"Senior Sister, you're absolutely right. I think so too."
The disciples all nodded in agreement.
"It seems that, because of our master, our fates have long been intertwined. Even the fact that we became his disciples isn't just a matter of luck," Su Yunyun said, raising her head slightly with a serious expression. "Or perhaps, we were chosen by our master from the very beginning."
Hearing this, the disciples grew excited. Deep down, they had always believed that their becoming disciples of the master was merely a stroke of luck, not because they were particularly outstanding. After all, even a pig, if chosen as the master's disciple, could become a mighty figure ruling over the pig world.
But if Su Yunyun's words were true, and they had been chosen by the master, then it wasn't just a matter of luck.
"Regardless, I believe that none of us should disgrace our master," Su Yunyun said solemnly. "And that brings me to the second reason I've gathered everyone here today."
All eyes turned to Su Yunyun as she continued, "I've been wondering, why did our master take us in as disciples? To pass on his legacy? Our master's knowledge is as vast as the ocean, and even a small stream from it would be enough to sustain us for a lifetime. Who among us is truly worthy of inheriting his legacy?"
"So, I'm certain that our existence isn't accidental. We must have a purpose, a mission. Especially with the recent visions appearing in my mind, I'm even more convinced of this."
The disciples listened intently, each lost in thought.
"Do you remember the grand scheme our master is orchestrating?" Su Yunyun asked.
"Senior Sister, what do you think our mission is?" one disciple asked. "And what is our master's grand scheme?"
Instead of answering directly, Su Yunyun posed another question. "Do you remember the countless lengthy works in the Heaven and Earth Sect's library? Do you recall the numerous video recordings in the Jade Scroll Pavilion? It seems that all of us here have found our own paths through those, haven't we?"
As she spoke, Su Yunyun's voice grew more passionate.
"Senior Sister, we still don't quite understand. Could you please explain more clearly?" Jia Jiaqin couldn't help but ask.
"Don't you realize? The worlds described in those books, the civilizations depicted in the jade scrolls—they might very well be the pieces of our master's grand scheme," Su Yunyun said, looking at her fellow disciples with intensity, each word deliberate.
