Chapter 902: Get Lost
Hmph!
Knocking on my door out of the blue? Clearly a scam.
How could I fall for something like that?
Yi Feng, feeling a little smug, returned to his room and sat back down.
Time to count his money.
Meanwhile, Mei Xian'er stood frozen outside for a long time before finally snapping out of it.
Her delicate hands clenched into fists, her face twisting into a mix of frustration and determination.
"You little brat, you’re really something!"
"I refuse to believe I can’t handle you."
Gritting her teeth, she knocked on the door again.
"Young Master, though we’ve never met, I find myself in a desperate situation and must trouble you."
"I am Ye Qing'er from Thousand Leaves Island. I’ve been poisoned, and if you can help me, my island will reward you handsomely. Whatever you desire, Thousand Leaves Island will provide."
Her voice, urgent yet laced with a hint of seduction, seeped through the door, disrupting Yi Feng’s focus and causing him to miscount his money several times.
"Could this woman actually be in real trouble?"
Yi Feng pinched his nose, deep in thought.
If that were the case, turning her away and letting her die would be pretty heartless.
As someone raised with strong moral values, he couldn’t just stand by and let someone perish.
Maybe I should check it out.
With that thought, Yi Feng stashed his money away and got up to open the door.
Seeing Yi Feng finally open the door, Mei Xian'er’s eyes flickered with a hint of triumph, though she quickly masked it.
"What’s going on with you?"
Yi Feng stood in the doorway, blocking her entry, his tone cautious.
"Young Master, it’s like this. While training near the Teleportation Island, I was unknowingly poisoned by a villain."
"Now the toxin is flaring up, and I have no choice but to seek someone to help me expel it. I’m truly in a desperate situation."
Mei Xian'er explained her predicament with a downcast expression, her eyes misty and her delicate frame trembling slightly, painting a picture of pitiable vulnerability.
"That’s unfortunate, but I don’t know how to cure poison," Yi Feng replied, frowning.
"But since I’ve come to you, Young Master, you must be the one who can save me," Mei Xian'er said, her voice trembling with feigned desperation.
"Me? Cure you?"
Yi Feng was baffled. "Since when do I have that ability?"
"Then what kind of poison are you suffering from?" he asked.
At this, the enchanting woman before him lowered her head in apparent shame, her cheeks flushing red as she stammered, "It’s... it’s a love poison."
"This poison is extremely vicious. I must find a man to... dual cultivate with within a limited time to expel the toxin."
"Young Master, you’re a man of extraordinary character and striking looks. To be honest, you’re exactly the type of person I’ve always admired. So... so..."
Mei Xian'er pretended to blush even harder, her voice dropping to a whisper. "So I beg you, Young Master, to dual cultivate with me and save my life."
"Afterward, if you find me agreeable, I would be willing to belong to you."
"If not, I won’t hold you responsible, but I will still be eternally grateful and reward you handsomely. Whether it’s wealth or treasures, whatever you desire, I will provide."
With that, she looked up at Yi Feng with pitiful, kitten-like eyes, her delicate body swaying weakly as she subtly leaned closer to him.
In her heart, however, she was filled with amusement.
There was no way Yi Feng could resist such an offer.
Sure enough, her body was now almost pressed against his.
A faint smile tugged at her lips.
But just as she thought she had him in the bag, a stern shout erupted.
"Get lost!"
Before she could react, a foot slammed into her chest, sending her flying backward.
Bang!
The door slammed shut behind her.
Inside the room, Yi Feng was muttering angrily to himself.
At first, he thought she might actually be in trouble, but the more she spoke, the more ridiculous it sounded.
Beautiful, comes from a powerful family, offers herself to him, pays him, and doesn’t even demand responsibility afterward?
What kind of scam was this? It was no different from those "rich woman seeking a man to bear her child" ads he’d seen plastered on lampposts in his past life.
He would never forget his naive teenage years when he called one of those numbers and ended up losing all his money for the month.
As a modern man well-versed in anti-scam tactics, there was no way he’d fall for such a low-level con.
No way.
Absolutely not.
Still, Yi Feng didn’t go all out. After all, since he hadn’t actually lost anything, kicking her once as a lesson was enough.
She got what she deserved.
