Chapter 90

I only returned to the game after nineteen hours. Fie was already here.

- "Decided to come early too?"

- "Why are you here so early?"

- "I figured you’d do the same. So, what’s the plan?"

- "Simple. We boost our health to ten million and go all-out on the raid bosses. The only issue might be the guards—that’s where assassins could come in handy. If he targets me, your job is to stall the enemy. I need three minutes for a full recovery. If the boss dies, I’ll jump into the fight. You’re here as backup."

We didn’t wait for the assassins—one was still here, cloaked in invisibility. He’d report to the others, but we didn’t need them.

- "Hey, old man, we’re starting in three hours. Join us if you want—we’re prepping for now." If they were part of the team, he’d relay it to the rest.

The admin sent us back to the battlefield. The raid bosses were visible from kilometers away, and undead still roamed the area. Tsk, what a waste of materials. Gotta put them to use later.

This time, we chose a small mountain plateau near a ravine—a perfect spot to attack two raid bosses at once. There were enough sacrifices; boosting our health to ten million unlocked a new ability for Fie.

- "Guess what? The armor grants access to the Blood Knight technique, Cleaving Strike—doubles attack power."

Her entire armor was drenched in blood, pulsing with veins. Even her sword was coated in it. A terrifying sight—all it needed was an eye and a mouth. Hmm… That’s an idea. Gotta experiment later.

The assassins lurked nearby, invisible, doing nothing noteworthy.

- "Stay away from me. If I sense a threat, you die instantly." Silence answered. Weird people. Do they always live in silence?

Fie understood immediately and positioned herself nearby in case they attacked.

First, we took down Iridian the Stalker. With our massive health pool, we could afford to experiment.

- "Death Star!"

A comet-like streak tore across the sky, slamming straight into Iridian. A deafening crash—the spider flipped over, guards scattered around it. It bent its legs backward, flipping itself upright. Still at 80% health, but missing three legs and its guard squad. Experiment successful! Let’s do it again!

The spider nearly reached us—it took eight hits to finish it off. Iridian tanked the Death Star strikes, minimizing damage, and survived all eight. With the last of my mana, I finished it with a Dwarven Hammer when it was just twenty meters away.

Death Star looks like a small comet, trailing shattered fragments—perfect for wiping out enemies with escorts. The only downside? It requires 500 skill points in Air, Space, Earth, and Fire. My version is heavily nerfed, but still strong enough to kill something like that.

Irhan the Great fell to meteors. His guards always stuck close, so six of ten died in the first strike. Irhan himself, now the size of a train car, charged at us, dragging a meteor-mauled limb. He was absurdly tough—surviving ten meteors and two Dwarven Hammers. His path was littered with spell craters and random undead casualties.

Verocil the Rampant was the last raid boss—a grotesque lion-like abomination, a failed chimera even by necromancy standards. It wore armored beetles as living shields, but a double meteor strike bypassed them. Killing it was brutal. Fie and the assassins held off guards while I regenerated mana. It spat a bomb-like projectile—my shields barely saved me, but half the ritual sacrifices died. My guards were too far ahead to be hit.

Damn, these raid bosses are good! Gotta hunt them more often. Fie ran off to loot.

Then—that feeling again. Something overwhelmingly powerful. But I’m not in the Astral Plane—what’s happening?!

- "Fie, a lich is coming. Extremely strong. I can sense him already—get away, now!"

Black clouds swallowed the sky. Thunder roared, the ground quaked, then collapsed. Trees toppled; a frigid wind rose. Massive skeletal hands—thirty meters tall—burst from the earth, standing motionless like trees. As their numbers grew, a death aura spread. The sky turned blood-red, painting the world crimson.

Fie gathered the raid loot and waited for the lich. Oh, how naive I was, thinking I could take him down.

A rift to the Astral Plane tore open on the plain. Creatures with insane levels poured out—luckily, most ignored us. Then He emerged. A genderless humanoid with exaggerated muscles, pale translucent skin, exposed spine, and a hollow skull radiating terror. He stood two kilometers away.

Undead. Thalamay. God of a Minor Pantheon.

This is madness! How am I supposed to kill a god?! It’s impossible!

- "Well, boy? Got a god-killing trick?"

First, the assassins spoke—unheard of. Second, the god heard from two kilometers away and was now staring at us.

- "God, you should’ve stayed silent." No chance. None. Unless…

Where’s Fie?

- "I need three minutes. Distract him—do whatever it takes. When I say so, run for the rift. If you die, that’s on you."

- "Understood."

Three minutes to alter the seal’s pattern on the ground and carve it onto myself. Today, I go all out!

Stat window! Everything into Intelligence. Oh yes—nearly 2,000 INT, 25,000 mana.

The fallen god advanced. The assassins, invisible, followed Fie, buying time.

Fie activated her armor and struck the god’s shin with a tenfold-powered slash. He staggered—but his HP didn’t budge. Her sword shattered; inertia sent her skidding ten meters. Assassins slashed at his tendons, but he ignored them. His hollow gaze locked onto me. I felt him studying me, waiting.

To him, we were insects. He raised a hand—lightning bolts erupted. Half struck Fie. Our shared health plummeted to critical. Note: She needs lightning resistance.

- "Everyone, fall back! Fie, pull the stakes—now! Time to see what I’m made of."

First move: Meteor! The god caught it. Bare-handed.

- "Are you kidding me?! How am I supposed to kill this?!"

Thalamay examined the meteor, then me. He looked… disappointed.

- "Weak. Pathetic worm," his voice vibrated through reality. "Know your place."

His hand began rising.

I know. But I’ll surpass myself.

- "Blood Magic. Final Seal. Self-Sacrifice!"
