Chapter 69
The dragon spread its wings once more and flew toward the enemy camp. It paid no attention to the minor attacks from the mages. Only five dragons, including Margul, took part in this war. Humans simply couldn’t defeat them, even with overwhelming numbers.
The dragons formed a wedge and swept fire across the enemy army, balancing the forces in this battle. As for Margul, he conjured a blue sun directly above the gods—just powerful enough to weaken them but not kill. One of the dragons broke away from the group to deliver a message to Leon: the dragons were withdrawing from the military alliance due to the "grave wound of their patron."
"I refuse to die at the hands of such weaklings," Margul snarled in fury. As a final act, he cast a spell that incinerated the entire battlefield—friend and foe alike.
