Staring at the coconut trees on the beach, Captain Hao was dumbfounded. He couldn’t process what had just happened or believe what he was seeing. Just moments ago, he had been in his office. How could he suddenly be at the seaside? What on earth was going on?!

As Captain Hao sat there in stunned silence, a familiar voice exclaimed beside him.

“Captain?!”

He turned his head sharply and saw Xu Rong!

Their eyes met, and the shock in both their gazes was equally profound. Their eyes widened in disbelief.

Xu Rong, though slightly more experienced and not entirely unfamiliar with supernatural phenomena, was still utterly shaken. Witnessing the captain being pulled through space in the blink of an eye was beyond anything she had ever encountered. This spatial manipulation defied all logic and left her equally stunned.

The two sat in silence for a long time before finally regaining some composure.

Captain Hao, still visibly shaken, blurted out nervously, “What the hell is going on?! Where is this place?! How did I suddenly end up here? And why are you here too?!”

The once calm and composed leader now resembled a panicked teenager, firing off questions one after another, leaving Xu Rong almost speechless.

After calming him down, she quietly recounted everything she had witnessed—from the strange occurrences in the neighborhood to the terrifying tremors on the island, and finally to their current situation. Captain Hao listened intently, and by the end, he leapt to his feet in shock.

A middle-aged man in his fifties, he was so startled that he moved with the agility of a teenager.

“Holy crap! Are you saying that in the blink of an eye, we’ve been transported to the middle of the ocean? And that the world-shaking, catastrophic tsunami originated from here? All of this happened because someone stomped their foot?!”

“That’s impossible… Absolutely impossible!”

Captain Hao’s voice trembled with disbelief. He couldn’t accept the flood of information, each piece more unbelievable than the last. He refused to believe it!

Just then, a lazy voice came from under the coconut tree.

“Whether you believe it or not, you’re already in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. That’s irrelevant now. All I want to know is, can you help me find that ‘Sister Han’?”

The soft-spoken words hit like a thunderclap.

Captain Hao froze, then slowly turned to see Wu Tao, dressed in shorts, lazily gazing at him. Facing this unfamiliar young man and recalling all the information he had just heard, Captain Hao quickly glanced around.

All he saw was an endless expanse of ocean, with no land in sight. The sand beneath his feet felt slightly warm, as if confirming everything he had just been told.

In an instant, Captain Hao was struck dumb, his mind reeling.

He tried to calm himself, but the sheer magnitude of what he had learned was overwhelming. It took him several minutes to process it all before he finally asked, his voice tinged with doubt, “Are… are you the powerful figure Xu Rong mentioned?”

Though his eyes still betrayed his unease, the fact that he had managed to regain some composure in such a short time spoke volumes about his mental fortitude. For an ordinary human on Earth, he was indeed exceptional.

No wonder he had risen to become the superior of the beautiful Captain Xu Rong.

Wu Tao nodded slightly and stood up, fixing his gaze on Captain Hao. “Can you help me find Sister Han?”

Though his words didn’t directly answer the question, they implicitly confirmed everything. His tone carried an undeniable authority, exuding a terrifying pressure.

Even though Wu Tao tried to appear as gentle as possible, to Captain Hao, his presence was still overwhelmingly intimidating, as if a mountain were pressing down on him.

Captain Hao could only respond truthfully, cautiously explaining the difficulties. “Well… I can certainly report this matter and request higher-ups to contact Sister Han. If I explain your existence, it shouldn’t be a problem. But I can’t guarantee anything. I’ll do my best and wait for their response.”

Wu Tao nodded slightly and waved his hand, opening a spatial rift.

Witnessing the terrifying ability to tear open space, both Captain Hao and Xu Rong were once again struck with awe. No matter how absurd it seemed, after experiencing it firsthand, they had no choice but to believe it.

When they opened their eyes again, the sandy beach had been replaced by asphalt roads. The bustling streets filled with cheers looked familiar—it was Pingjiang City, the place they had sworn to protect!

Looking around at the excited passersby, Captain Hao and Xu Rong stood on the old streets of the city, utterly stunned.

His casual words left the two in awe.
