Chapter 1348: Taking Action To Suppress
The exchange of glances lasted only a few moments.
Lou Benwei's smile grew wider, as if he had heard something amusing. Gradually, a look of disdain spread across his face, and he rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"Tsk."
"You were trash back then, and even now, in my eyes, you're still worthless trash. Dealing with someone like you, even if I'm just a skeleton, is as easy as blowing off dust!"
His domineering voice echoed calmly as Lou Benwei stood in the air, seemingly as formidable as ever.
Witnessing his invincible demeanor, the white-eyed being in the cosmic darkness couldn't help but feel a momentary daze. After a few moments, it snapped back to reality and laughed, its arrogance growing even more unrestrained.
"Ke ke ke..."
"I never thought that the once almighty Eternal Calamity God, who once ruled over countless realms, would fall to such a state. Now, you're nothing but a skeleton, with only the ability to bluff. You've lost all your former glory. What a pity."
"If you truly had such power, why bother putting on an act? If you could stop me, why haven't you made a move yet?"
"Hmm?"
As soon as the words fell, Lou Benwei shook his head lightly.
He didn't bother to retort. Instead, he raised his hand and tore a rift in the sky, forcibly creating a small world. Then, with a skeletal hand, he reached out and grabbed!
"Whoosh!"
A gust of wind blew past, and the grotesque, bloated creature was yanked out and thrown into the void.
Before the white-eyed monstrosity could even stand up, Lou Benwei stomped on it, rendering it immobile. The creature was instantly suppressed, its eyes filled with terror, and it let out a disbelieving roar.
"This..."
"How is this possible in just an instant?!"
"You're just a skeleton now! How can you still possess such terrifying power?!"
No matter how much it roared, Lou Benwei simply reached into the void and pulled out a reclining chair. He lay down on it, his small frame seemingly transcending the heavens and earth. The pressure from his presence forced the massive creature beneath the chair to sink into the void, its cries drowned out.
Only its resentful eyes peered through the cracks, filled with hatred and unwillingness, veins of bloodshot rage visible.
At this moment, it finally understood the terror of the Eternal Calamity God.
After a long while, the small world finally returned to tranquility, as serene and peaceful as the night sky had been before.
Lou Benwei lay leisurely on the reclining chair, resting his arms behind his head and yawning lazily.
"Ha..."
"Stop your whining. I admit you've made a tiny bit of progress. You've grown a little, and that's enough to pose a slight challenge to me. That's why I had to personally lie here and suppress you."
"Now, are you satisfied?"
The white-eyed giant beneath his foot trembled slightly, its shame and anger almost overflowing.
However, under the indescribable pressure, it found it nearly impossible to speak. It no longer dared to voice any objections. Even if it had countless grievances, it could only grit its teeth and fall silent.
After just a few cries, it had lost all its arrogance.
How dull.
Lou Benwei, feeling bored, couldn't help but sigh.
"Tsk."
"You idiot, why did you have to act so tough? I actually preferred your confident demeanor earlier. Now, this is just boring. I have to lie here, wasting my time. You're really causing trouble for both of us."
"I'm the number one handsome guy in the universe. Spending time with a loser like you is a complete waste. If only there was a girl here to keep me company..."
As he complained, Lou Benwei slowly raised his eyes and peered through the void, gazing at the sea of stars.
In the depths of the endless universe, the pure darkness began to reveal its true form.
Towering, bizarre structures rose like pillars to the heavens, shrouded in an eerie black aura. In the endless darkness, countless buildings sprouted like bamboo shoots, resembling ancient, eternal monuments. Their age was impossible to determine, as if they had existed for countless eons.
Only terrifying demons roamed within, flickering in and out of existence, ruling over this boundless dark realm. They seemed to have merged with the void, existing eternally.
Everywhere, demonic creatures exuded an aura of immense terror, far surpassing the demons hidden on other planets. Not only were they powerful, but they also seemed highly organized, their intelligence reaching a frightening level.
At a glance, this hidden void, cloaked in darkness, appeared to be the source of all evil, continuously spawning terrifying beings. The darkness grew unchecked in unknown corners, devouring light over countless ages, existing in a perpetual balance of opposition.
At the center of the darkness stood a colossal tower, its peak unseen, as if it connected the heavens and the earth of this realm. It overlooked all the darkness, observing the movements of every demon.
Within the tower, a palace exuded a chilling, suffocating aura.
Countless demons stood on either side, their leaders present among them. There were one-eyed dwarves, hundred-foot-tall two-faced giants, and humanoid succubi, all exuding profound and mysterious auras.
Regardless of their origins, all the demons bowed their heads in reverence. Even though nearly ten thousand demons had gathered, they occupied only a small portion of the vast, dark hall.
On the black throne, endless darkness gathered, with only a pair of blood-red eyes visible.
As the blood-red eyes opened, all the demons prostrated themselves.
"Summon the Demoness Chi Li."
A cold voice echoed, and the demons kowtowed.
A black sedan chair materialized outside the palace gates, shrouded in mist. Several powerful demons, wearing blood-red helmets, lifted the sedan chair. Without any visible movement, they dispersed into the darkness and vanished.
They reappeared in front of the Demoness's palace.
The exquisite palace, though entirely black, was intricately designed, resembling a work of art. Its towering structure featured flying eaves adorned with blood-red bells, adding a dangerous allure to the already awe-inspiring darkness.
Demoness Chi Li, clad in a black gown, stood waiting at the palace entrance. Her steps were graceful as she approached, her long dress exquisitely tailored, with a daring slit that accentuated her perfect figure. Her fair skin peeked through, and she radiated an icy, unapproachable aura.
This high-ranking demoness, whose status and talent were unparalleled, appeared and immediately caused the sedan bearers to bow their heads in silence, not daring to act out of line.
Only after Chi Li gracefully stepped into the sedan chair did the giant demons lift it and set off.
Treading on black mist, they soared through the air, covering thousands of miles in an instant. The black sedan emitted an extraordinary aura, causing many demons to look up in awe.
Suddenly!
A skeletal hand tore through the void, resembling the remains of a giant, and lunged straight for the sedan chair. Right before the eyes of countless demons, it snatched Demoness Chi Li away!
The demons were instantly thrown into chaos, too panicked to even admire the demoness's fleeting beauty.
"Audacious!"
"Who dares to abduct our demoness?!"
In the blink of an eye, the skeletal hand had seized the demoness and vanished into the void as easily as plucking something from a bag. The entire demon race was thrown into turmoil, and the humiliation spread like wildfire through the dark void.
The sedan bearers, having witnessed the event firsthand, were even more terrified. Filled with urgency, they hurried back to the demonic tower to report.
In the grand hall, four towering demons, each several meters tall, knelt in fear, their trembling voices echoing throughout the chamber, inciting the rage of the assembled demons.
"Your Majesty!"
"Disaster has struck! A skeletal hand suddenly tore through the void and abducted the demoness mid-journey. She has been taken away, and we are powerless to stop it. We beg for your forgiveness!"
As soon as the words were spoken, the hall erupted in anger.
"What?!"
"Who dares to abduct our demoness? Such audacity!"
"Whoever it is, they must be formidable to tear through the void and invade our realm. This is a blatant provocation!"
"Is this a declaration of war against our race?!"
"We don't even know who did it. How can we retaliate? This cowardly act is despicable. Our priority must be to identify the perpetrator!"
After a brief discussion, the demons turned to the throne and bowed in unison.
"We await your command, Your Majesty!"
The dark hall fell into an eerie silence, as an unprecedented fury began to brew and spread.
The blood-red eyes on the throne slowly opened, revealing a murderous intent.
"Our race has been dormant for too long. It seems the outside world has forgotten our might."
"This is a direct challenge to our race. Whether in the past or now, such an act will not be tolerated. No matter who the perpetrator is, we will hunt them down across the realms!"
"This criminal shall be utterly annihilated!!!"
A terrifying aura swept through the dark hall, and an ancient wrath was reignited.
Even though the assembled demons were the elite of their race, capable of crushing stars, they were all struck with awe. A calamity that would shake countless star systems was about to unfold.
Meanwhile, in an unknown small world, Demoness Chi Li struggled to her feet. She straightened her slightly disheveled black gown, covering her tall, graceful figure, her face flushed with anger and shame.
Seeing that the one who had abducted her was nothing more than a small skeleton, she couldn't help but sneer and scold.
"Outrageous!"
"Who do you think you are, daring to abduct me? Do you not know that when the demon race is angered, the stars themselves will run red with blood?!"
