Chapter 1110: The Elder Experience Card

0 views 12.03.2025

After a night of heated discussions, most disciples were now aware of Yi Feng, the new elder. By morning, whispers about him could be heard, and a few even waited respectfully outside his courtyard, hoping to pay their respects.

Inside the courtyard, Yi Feng had risen early. Standing at his doorstep, he stretched lazily.

"Haah..."

He yawned casually, feeling utterly relaxed.

Walking through the courtyard, the meticulously designed surroundings lifted his spirits. The courtyard wasn't particularly large, just a few square meters, facing south with bamboo houses on either side. It was exquisitely elegant.

The residence was clean and tidy, and the courtyard was thoughtfully arranged. There was a mist-shrouded rock garden with a pond, an antique fish tank with koi swimming inside, and various unfamiliar plants and flowers. A chess set, a guqin, and a table with chairs were all neatly arranged, exuding a refined atmosphere. Glancing outside the courtyard, one could see a sea of clouds rolling in the distance, creating a serene, almost otherworldly ambiance.

Strolling leisurely on the smooth stone path, Yi Feng couldn't help but feel a wave of emotion.

Who would have thought? In the blink of an eye, he had acquired a small villa with a courtyard in what felt like a celestial realm, and he had even established himself on this alien planet.

Back when he was just an ordinary mortal, he could never have imagined such a life.

Let alone thriving on an alien world.

At such a young age, he had already attained the status of an "elder," seemingly living a retired life of comfort and luxury. It was almost too good to be true.

He pulled out his elder token and examined it. The craftsmanship was exquisite, with intricate cloud patterns and elegant calligraphy, giving it an air of mystique. It looked undeniably impressive.

He guessed that this token would come in handy.

In the future, flashing this token would surely be easier than resorting to physical confrontations.

If it weren't for the looming catastrophe decades later, Yi Feng might have been tempted to settle down and enjoy his life as an elder, living a carefree existence.

Putting the token away, Yi Feng took a few steps, his eyes filled with anticipation.

"It seems that the Moon God Pavilion is a fairly powerful sect. There must be some formidable experts here. This time, my plan to seek death should be a sure thing."

"The top priority now is to gather some information and find out who the strongest experts are."

Just as Yi Feng was pondering his grand scheme, a commotion erupted outside the gate.

Then, it suddenly fell silent.

Only the steady sound of knocking remained.

"Knock, knock."

Yi Feng walked over and opened the door to find Qing Yin Xianyun and Hu Weifang standing there, one behind the other.

"Master Yi, did you rest well last night?"

Yi Feng greeted them politely and gestured for them to enter.

"Very well, Miss Qing Yin, Brother Hu, please come in."

Once the two entered, Yi Feng noticed a crowd of people standing outside the gate, dressed in various attire. It seemed they were all there to see him. He couldn't help but think that his status as an elder of the Moon God Pavilion carried quite a bit of weight...

But since he was new here and had guests to attend to, he didn't have time to deal with the crowd. He casually closed the courtyard gate.

They sat down at the stone table in the courtyard.

Before Yi Feng could say anything, Qing Yin Xianyun took a food box from Hu Weifang and laid out several plates of unfamiliar fruits, along with some pastries and fine wine.

The fragrant aroma made Yi Feng's appetite surge.

He had been thinking about having breakfast to start his day with energy, and now this thoughtful gesture from the young lady had provided just that. It was almost too considerate.

As he looked at the spread of delicious food and drink, Yi Feng felt something was off. It all seemed a bit too polite.

He glanced at Qing Yin Xianyun with a questioning look, only to see a hint of apology in her expression.

"Master Yi, my master had some insights yesterday and has temporarily gone into seclusion. He was unable to meet with you, and I hope you won't take offense."

Yi Feng's expression cleared.

"Oh, I thought something was wrong."

"Miss Qing Yin, you're being too formal. From now on, we're family. There's no need to worry about such trivial matters. Besides, it's only natural for the sect master to go into seclusion."

Hearing Yi Feng's magnanimous words, Qing Yin Xianyun's brows relaxed.

Hu Weifang, who had been standing quietly behind her, chimed in with a laugh.

"That's right, that's right."

"Elder Yi is absolutely correct. From now on, we're family. There's no need to be so formal."

Although Hu Weifang's words were well-intentioned, the term "family" made Qing Yin Xianyun's gaze flicker, and she quickly changed the subject.

"That's good..."

"Elder Yi, you helped us greatly on Cloud Star. If you ever encounter any difficulties or have questions in the future, you can always come to me. If I'm not in the sect, you can seek out Elder Feng or Hu Weifang."

Her sincere words were filled with goodwill, and Yi Feng couldn't help but feel touched.

As he poured tea, he smiled and responded.

"Alright."

"However, I'm still not quite used to being called 'Elder Yi.' Let's stick to how we addressed each other before."

His words instantly brought them closer.

She had always regarded Yi Feng as a benefactor. Now that they were fellow sect members, Yi Feng would have access to more resources and opportunities, which could be seen as a form of repayment.

However, the distinction between an elder and a saintess created an invisible barrier between them, making them feel somewhat distant.

Yi Feng's words were exactly what Qing Yin Xianyun had hoped for.

"Alright. When there are no outsiders, I'll still call you Master Yi, and you can address me by my name..."

Even Hu Weifang was delighted by this.

"Master Yi is a great address! It feels much more intimate!"

Seeing the smiles on his guests' faces, Yi Feng felt more at ease.

But hearing the voices outside the gate and remembering his grand plan, he couldn't help but feel curious. He decided to seize the opportunity to gather some information.

"Miss Qing Yin."

"Since I'm new to the Moon God Pavilion, there's a lot I don't know. Could you give me a brief overview of what our sect is like? That way, I'll have a better understanding and won't embarrass myself when I go out in the future."

When it came to serious matters, Qing Yin Xianyun became more solemn.

"Master Yi, our Moon God Pavilion has a history of ten thousand years. We hold a certain level of prestige in the Southern Li Heaven Domain. While we may not be renowned across millions of miles, we are considered a major sect in this region."

"As an elder, you are on equal footing with the other elders in the sect. Apart from the sect master and a few leaders of the Heaven Sects, you need not concern yourself with anyone else."

Yi Feng was momentarily stunned.

The Moon God Pavilion was indeed quite impressive! As an elder, he practically didn't have to worry about anyone's opinion. It sounded like he could strut around without a care!

This was somewhat unexpected.

However, as he pondered over some of the terms, Yi Feng still felt a bit confused, his expression one of bewilderment.

"Uh..."

"What exactly is a Heaven Domain? And what are Heaven Sects?"

Qing Yin Xianyun was momentarily taken aback by the question, but then she smiled.

"My apologies..."

"I forgot for a moment that you come from Cloud Star."

"Our Blue Star is divided into numerous territories known as Heaven Domains. Any sect that has a cultivator at the Heaven Rank can be promoted to a Heaven Sect. The Heaven Rank is above the Saint Rank, as I mentioned before, similar to the Heavenly Soldiers. It's a higher realm of cultivation."

Yi Feng nodded slightly.

"I see."

He roughly understood now. As an elder, he was essentially a high-ranking figure in a top-tier sect in this region. Without realizing it, he had almost reached the pinnacle. This elder status was indeed quite impressive.

With such a status, it would be much easier to seek out powerful experts in the future.

This young lady had truly done him a great favor!

Listening to her explanation, Yi Feng couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude.

"So, becoming an elder is an opportunity many would envy. Thank you."

Hearing her benefactor express gratitude, Qing Yin Xianyun humbly nodded.

"Master Yi, you flatter me. Being able to repay even a fraction of the kindness you showed us brings me immense joy. Such a small matter is not worth mentioning."

In just a few words, Qing Yin Xianyun's eyes were filled with contentment. She then excused herself to attend to other matters.

After seeing her off, only Yi Feng and Hu Weifang remained in the courtyard.

Hu Weifang was even more enthusiastic, answering various questions while congratulating Yi Feng.

"Congratulations, Master Yi!"

Then, wanting to emphasize the saintess's gratitude, Hu Weifang leaned in closer and whispered.

"To be honest, becoming an elder of our Moon God Pavilion is not only something many would envy but also a tremendous opportunity and blessing!"
