Chapter 1063: The Shameless Bald Old Man

0 views 12.03.2025

Watching Zhongli Meng disappear into the distance, Yi Feng found himself alone once more.

A sly smile crept across his face.

"Finally, a good opportunity has come."

He had followed this group of people in search of powerful demons. While the others scattered to search, how could Yi Feng possibly stay put obediently?

Zhongli Meng was quite kind, even reminding him to send a message if he encountered danger.

But Yi Feng would never actually agree to such a thing.

Though he had responded readily, the truth was he didn’t even know how to send a message properly.

Ask for help?

That was impossible. He would never ask for help in this lifetime!

Yi Feng was practically itching to die on the spot.

Quietly pulling out his machete, Yi Feng headed west, completely opposite to Zhongli Meng's direction, ensuring no one would have the chance to come to his aid.

With his machete in hand, Yi Feng strode forward, his spirits high.

Even though all he could see was endless snow and ice, which was starting to feel monotonous, and the small monsters he encountered along the way were as disappointing as chicken ribs, Yi Feng's resolve never wavered.

Ever since that girl had enlightened him, his determination had become unshakable!

Recalling the blood-stained hills from before, his mind was filled with anticipation of encountering powerful demons.

Embracing the spirit of "even a mosquito's leg is meat," Yi Feng swung his machete relentlessly.

Transforming into an emotionless machete-wielding machine, he harvested experience points along the way.

After what felt like an eternity.

After hacking through several waves of monsters, Yi Feng finally noticed something unusual.

Before him stood a massive ice-covered peak.

At the foot of the mountain, there was a structure resembling a house. At a glance, it bore a striking resemblance to the fortresses seen in those mythical dramas.

The building was like a tall tower, standing over a hundred feet high.

Constructed entirely from massive blocks of ice, it looked quite impressive. The semi-transparent walls were eye-catching, and faintly, figures could be seen moving inside.

Around the tower, various demons were milling about.

Classic skeleton monsters, big-eyed goofy creatures, and some short, long-eared demons.

With a single glance, Yi Feng could gauge the strength of these demons and roughly categorize them. After so much monster-slaying experience, he was practically a half-expert on demons.

Though they were familiar types of monsters, their cultivation levels weren't particularly high. The experience points they offered wouldn't be much, and they posed no real threat to his life.

But this was still a decent haul, enough to fill a good chunk of his experience bar.

"Finally, I've found some decent monsters!"

Yi Feng was excited, gripping his machete as he stepped forward.

Just then.

A massive palm-shaped shadow suddenly descended from the sky.

The shadow parted the clouds as it fell, causing the sky to churn!

The hundred-foot shadow blocked the sunlight, casting a dark gloom over the area around the tower. In an instant, the ice surface shattered, and the ground trembled with a deafening roar!

"Boom!"

A thunderous sound echoed across the horizon.

The ground beside the ice tower was struck, creating several fissures. Screams of agony accompanied the resounding explosion!

The tower shook, and the surrounding snow peaks began to rumble.

In the blink of an eye.

An avalanche cascaded down like a river, burying nearly half of the once-flat glacier!

Caught in the midst of this sudden upheaval, Yi Feng stared ahead in utter confusion.

What just happened? It was completely unexpected!

As the snow settled, the giant palm shadow had already dissipated. The once lively group of demons was now mostly dead or injured.

Nearly 90% of them had been crushed into a bloody pulp.

Those still clinging to life on the ice were mostly on their last breaths.

"What the hell just happened?"

Yi Feng's eyes widened in shock and frustration.

He never expected that someone else would intervene in such a place.

Could it be that he had run into his former teammates?

Yi Feng looked up in suspicion.

In the sky, where the clouds had parted, several figures were descending gracefully.

Almost all of them were old men, none of whom he recognized. They all had their hands clasped behind their backs, putting on an air of superiority as they landed steadily beside the ice tower. Their eyes were slightly lowered, looking indifferently at the wailing demons on the ground.

Their weathered faces showed no fear, nor any hint of emotion.

It was as if the demons, which ordinary people would fear, were nothing more than livestock waiting to be slaughtered in their eyes.

After a quick glance around, they casually demolished the tower with a single strike!

Soon, a few young men hurried over.

They landed beside the old men, bowing respectfully with looks of admiration.

At a glance from the leading old man, they immediately began collecting the demon corpses, slaughtering the remaining 10% without hesitation. In no time, the entire demon tower had been wiped out!

The area was left in complete disarray, with only a few scattered limbs and broken pieces remaining.

Their ruthless, no-mercy approach would make even the most heartless capitalist shed a tear.

After finally finding a decent group of experience monsters, only to have them suddenly wiped out, and then seeing these strangers efficiently harvesting the remains, Yi Feng's eyes widened in disbelief.

These bastards... were they stealing his monsters?

What the hell.

He had heard of people stealing money or even people, but stealing monsters? This was a first!

Were these guys treating this like some online game?

Yi Feng was completely dumbfounded.

He never expected a group of old men to suddenly appear out of nowhere, launching a sneak attack and stealing his monsters with such efficiency and skill!

The entire time, they didn't even glance at him, completely focused on collecting the demon corpses. It was as if, in their eyes, Yi Feng was nothing more than an insignificant annoyance, incapable of doing anything but raging helplessly.

Even the leading bald old man, who was putting on such a show of superiority, only gave him a dismissive sidelong glance.

They had clearly noticed that he had arrived first.

These bandits had no sense of honor!

The newcomers showed no trace of guilt, all carrying themselves with an air of superiority, as if stealing these demons was their rightful due, and no one else had any right to be angry.

With a casual wave of his hand, the bald old man collected the remaining powerful demon corpses, leaving only a few rotten branches on the ice.

By the time Yi Feng fully processed what had happened.

The group had already sped off into the distance, leaving behind nothing but a scene of devastation.

The whole thing had happened so quickly, so smoothly!

Their seamless, practiced movements showed they were seasoned bandits!

In the blink of an eye, not a single monster remained.

"Whoosh..."

A cold wind blew past, leaving the surroundings eerily quiet.

Yi Feng's expression darkened.

His experience points and mood had been utterly ruined by these bandits' reckless actions. The disappointment he had felt earlier was nothing compared to the frustration and anger he felt now.

This time, he couldn't hold back anymore.

Yi Feng looked up at the sky and let out a furious shout!

"Damn it!"

"You thieving bastards! If I ever run into you again, I'll smash your damn heads in!"

His curses echoed through the sky, but there was no response.

The desolate icy landscape was completely empty.

Only the sky, which had suddenly returned to its cloudy state, with rolling clouds that seemed to foretell an impending storm!
